I was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire with aspirations of a degree in veterinary medicine. I took a year away from school to travel and “see the world” and in the process, discovered my need for the mountains, long trad routes, and adventure.
After only a year and a half of climbing, I met Sean Jones in Yosemite Valley, and together, we put up a new route on the south face of Half Dome called Growing Up (5.13a, A0). With 21 pitches of amazing climbing, I am the only female to have a first ascent on this massive granite monolith. It is my proudest climbing accomplishment to date.
Since that time, I have traveled extensively throughout the American west with my dog, Charlie, seeking splitter cracks, and amazing new places to explore.
In 2012, looking for a new way to see the world, I started skydiving and instantly fell in love with the air and with flying. BASE jumping and wingsuits became a passion that only enhanced my love for rock climbing.
Life is a journey of self discovery. When I challenge myself fully and face my deepest fears, I can see myself with more clarity. With all the exciting and adventurous things I do, I am really just an artist at heart… seeking simplicity, inspiration, and a life filled with passion.
