What kind of climbing do you prefer? All types of rockclimbing; sport, bouldering, big wall, alpine.
Describe the perfect day. A beautiful sunny day spent climbing in the mountains with my wife, and cookies.
What have you learned from climbing? Climbing has taught me motivation, dedication, a love for adventure in the mountains, and also taught me to work hard in order to succeed.
What significance does climbing have in your life? It is the source of my energy, and it has given me almost everything i have.
Are you afraid to break bones? If i think about it too much, yes. But when i am on the rock i am usually able to put it out of my mind.
Are you afraid to die? I am afraid to die in climbing, only because it would be incredibly selfish.
What did your mother say when you started climbing? Go get ‘em.
What does your mother say about it now that you're jet-setting, rich and famous? She wishes i were jet-setting less but rich and famous

Do you climb competitively ? Only casually.

What do you like most about comps? The energy
What do you like least about comps? The hype
What do you think of the comp scene? I have mixed feelings. I do not like the soccer moms involved in junior comps, but if it were just up to the kids, i think it would be healthy. The adult comps are great.
How do you train for comps? I don’t specifically train for comps.
Do you climb indoors a lot? Not really
Does it make you stronger or weaker? It makes me stronger
What other activities do you participate in? Running and biking
What's the hardest sport you've tried? Water polo
How much do you travel? About 9 months per year
What's the most over-hyped area? At the moment, probably bishop

What’s the best thing about being in a photoshoot? Hanging out with friends.

What advice would you give to someone that wants to be a professional climber? Realistically to be a professional climber you have to be the very best in your niche. Make sure you can make that happen. And always do it for the enjoyment.
